Congratulations on your tile selection. Please follow these few simple rules for your rectangular format that will help create a beautiful installation you’ll be sure to love.
Install with a Medium Bed mortar using a ½” trowel. For full coverage, tile must be back-buttered.
The floor must be flat (consider using Leveling clips)
If you want to stagger your tiles, please follow the standard set by American National Standards Institute (ANSI) that states all tiles longer than 18” should not overlap more than 1/3 the length of the tile. This will create a level appearance along the tile edge.
Please inspect all your tiles prior to your contractor arriving. Only you know what you expect your tiles to look like. We will be happy to work with you on any color or shade concerns before your tile is installed.
